Coopersville, MI–The Coopersville High School Broncos extended their winning streak to 5 games on Friday as they beat traditional program power Wayland Union 9-1 on a beautiful Good Friday evening. Tyler Schmidt paced the Broncos on the mound recording 7 strikeouts and only allowing 4 hits in his varsity pitching debut. Brendan Serba led the Broncos offensively going 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI’s to lead the Broncos. The Broncos will travel to Forest Hills Northern on Monday to face a tough Husky team before beginning league play on Tuesday with a doubleheader at Allendale. First pitch on Monday is 4:15.
