Golf finishes 4th in the 2nd league Jamboree

The Broncos varsity girls golf team travelled to Pigeon Creek to play in the 2nd league match Monday afternoon.  The Broncos shot a team score of 195 to place a close 4th, 2 strokes behind Grand Rapids Catholic Central.

Kendall Harris continued her good play with a round of 46 to lead the team.  This was closely followed by Sadie Brink with 49 and Sophia Baker with 49.  Angie Sorenson, Alexa Davis each shot 51 and Rylie Camp scored a season best 52 to cap the Broncos scoring.

League scores were:

Spring Lake 164; Northpointe Christian 187; GRCC 193; Coops 195; GR West Catholic 209; Allendale 220; Comstock Park 225; Sparta 253.

The JV Broncos dominated their league match at Western Greens shooting a 198.

Christina VanderSchuur shot a 48, 9th graders Mara Lauer and Claire Hammond each shot 50 along with Elizabeth Jonas and Sydney Eskola.

The varsity girls are back in action Wednesday at the Mines Golf course.
