The varsity girls golf team traveled to Lincoln Golf Club in Muskegon (its the golf course you see from the rollercoasters at Michigan’s Adventure) last Thursday for their last tournament of the regular season. All of the seniors were able to play in their final regular season match along with junior Rylie Camp.
Against a very strong field featuring teams that will be at or near the best in the state in all divisions, and on a very tough and long golf course, the Broncos finished 13th. Leading the way for Coopersville once again was senior Kendall Harris who shot her best 18 hole tournament round with a 95 which placed her 21st out of 75 golfers.
Also scoring for the Broncos were
Angie Sorenson with a 106,
Brooke Klein with a 107 and Rylie Camp with a 117. Grace Heiss also finished her high school career with a 121 for the Broncos.
The Broncos start tournament play Thursday October 12 at the regional in Big Rapids at Katke Golf course.
