Meet Recap

The Broncos Boys Varsity Tennis Team finished their OK Blue / Silver Conference season by winning both the conference tournament and conference overall championships! Coopersville had a league leading regular season dual match record of 7-0-1 and also won the conference tournament with a 1st place total of 60 points. The combination made the Broncos the OK Blue / Silver Conference Champions for 2017. Finishing second was GR Catholic Central followed by GR West Catholic, NorthPointe Christian, Spring Lake, Calvin Christian, Comstock Park, Sparta and Kelloggsville.
The Broncos strong performance was highlighted by winning 5 of the 8 flights. Flight Champions were: Jack Dausman, 1singles; Jake DeRoos & Truman Lee, 1 doubles; Blake & Conor Reynolds, 2 doubles; Reese Gilbert & Ethan Reynolds, 3 doubles; Jake Bradley & Isaac Oswald, 4 doubles. Also adding points to the Broncos winning total were Brendan May, 2 singles; Josh Mast, 3 singles; and Josh Klein, 4 singles.
Coopersville pretty much dominated the tournament by winning 21 of the 25 matches they played. Jake DeRoos & Truman Lee, 1st doubles, Brendan May at 2nd singles, Josh Mast at 3rd singles and Josh Klein at 4th singles each beat players/teams to whom they had lost to during the regular season.
Next stop for the Broncos is the MHSAA Division 3 Regional Tournament hosted by Grand Rapids Christian this Friday. Go Broncos!

Girls Junior Varsity Golf, Girls Varsity Golf · Girls Golf wraps up regular season with a 13th place finish in Reeths-Puffer Invite


The varsity girls golf team traveled to Lincoln Golf Club in Muskegon (its the golf course you see from the rollercoasters at Michigan’s Adventure) last Thursday for their last tournament of the regular season.  All of the seniors were able to play in their final regular season match along with junior Rylie Camp.

Against a very strong field featuring teams that will be at or near the best in the state in all divisions, and on a very tough and long golf course, the Broncos finished 13th.  Leading the way for Coopersville once again was senior Kendall Harris who shot her best 18 hole tournament round with a 95 which placed her 21st out of 75 golfers.

Game Recap

The Broncos did well to secure a win on the road against a well coached Spring Lake team. The Broncos goal came early after Mike Tikkanan recieved a well placed cross from Nolan Frye. The Broncos did well to stay composed for the rest of the game and get the 1-0 win. Goalie Jon Epperly, earned his 8th shutout for the season. The Broncos are on the road again Tuesday when they face Sparta.

Game Recap

Coopersville played West in the final meeting of the year. Both teams came to play. Coopersvilles Mike Tikannan opened up the scoring early with a diving head ball. West Catholic responded quickly with their own quick response. Nolan Frye put his 11th in the net to go up 2-1. Reese Watson added a third goal with a well placed volley. It was Coopersville’s 9th win of the season. The Broncos play Spring Lake Thursday.

Meet Recap

The Broncos Boys Tennis Team finished their OK Blue regular season today with an 8-0 win over Kelloggsville. This brings Coopersville’s regular season OK Blue Conference record to a league leading 7-0-1, A undefeated season with the only blemish being a tie with Spring Lake.
Results today were, straight set wins by Jack Dausman (1s), Brendan May (2s), Josh Mast (3s), Jake DeRoos & Truman Lee (1d) and Blake & Conor Reynolds (2d). Winning by default were Josh Klein (4s), Reese Gilbert & Ethan Reynolds (3d) and Jake Bradley & Isaac Oswald (4d). On the way to winning the actually played 5 flights winning 10 sets while only losing 1 game. An outstanding effort!
Next up is the OK Blue / Silver Conference Tournament this Saturday being hosted by NorthPointe Christian. Go Broncos!

It was a beautiful fall day and the Varsity “Tennis Boys” took full advantage by winning their match against Comstock Park. This runs the Broncos OK Blue Conference record to 6-0-1 with one match left before heading into the conference tournament.
The final score was Coopersville 6, Comstock Park 2. Individual wins for the Broncos were: Jack Dausman, 1st singles; Brendan May, 2nd singles; Jake DeRoos & Truman Lee, 1st doubles; Blake & Conor Reynolds, 2nd doubles; Reese Gilbert & Ethan Reynolds, 3rd doubles; and Jake Bradley & Isaac Oswald, 4th doubles. Josh Mast, 3rd singles and Josh Klein, 4th singles, who are both in their 1st full year on the Varsity lost but fought hard all the way in very closely contested matches.
The last dual match of the season will be at Kelloggsville next Tuesday, October 3rd. Go Broncos!

The Coopersville Boys Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Sparta for an OK Blue Conference match. The Broncos won with a 7 to 1 final score. This win brings Coopersville’s league leading record of 5-0-1 with 2 matches left to play.

Game Recap

The Broncos played Comstock Park at home. The Broncos did well against a well coached CP team. The Broncos opened up the scoring early with captain Trent Fritsma making good on a corner kick. In the 2nd half the Broncos moved the ball around well to maintain possession . Broncos forward Nate Kowalczyk did well to get into the Comstock Park 18 yard box and find the back of the net for His tenth goal of the season. The Broncos finished on top 2-0. The Broncos will host West Catholic on Tuesday for their last home game of the season.
